Overview

Payouts define how funds are transferred from a connected account to its external destination.

By default, any funds collected on behalf of a connected account accumulate in that account’s balance and are paid out on a rolling basis.


Payout lifecycle

Funds follow a standard lifecycle:

Funds are collected

Payments are processed on behalf of the connected account and added to its balance.

Funds become available

After processing and settlement delays, funds move to the available balance.

Funds are paid out

Available funds are transferred to the connected account’s external payout destination.


Payout management configurations

Platforms are responsible for managing payouts for connected accounts that do not have access to a hosted dashboard.

This includes:

  • Managing external payout accounts (bank accounts)

External payout accounts

Each connected account must have at least one external accounts to receive payouts.

These accounts represent the destination where funds are transferred.


Supported settlement currencies

Payouts can be made in supported settlement currencies.

Supported currencies include:

  • BGN
  • DKK
  • SEK
  • NOK
  • GBP
  • EUR
  • USD
  • CHF
  • CZK
  • HUF
  • PLN
  • RON

The availability of payout currencies may depend on the country of the connected account and the configured capabilities.


Platform responsibilities

When managing payouts, your platform is responsible for:

  • Ensuring a valid external account is attached
  • Handling onboarding requirements related to payouts
  • Providing visibility to connected accounts

  • Accounts API
  • External Accounts API
  • Webhooks (for payout and account updates)
